What We Offer To School Students

We can give students a head start, covering their course texts for Spanish and English before they go through them in class. We always cover course content in a way that interests and engages the student, making their GCSE or A Level tutoring experience personal to them. 

If a student has already started their course in school but finds a particular text challenging, their tutor can go through the text with them and use the student's particular learning style to resolve any difficulties. 

 To ensure continuous student progression in Spanish and English our tutors offer to set and mark independent work, giving in-depth feedback on each piece of work. They use targets as a form of constructive criticism as well as notice areas of improvement - the aim being to instil confidence and self-belief in the student ready for their exams.

When the time comes for students to begin their Spanish and English exam revision it is often overwhelming and difficult  to know where to start.

What do our tutors do to help?

• Help students become familiar with the exam papers 
• Go through the exam papers question by question
• Give students advice on how to approach, plan and answer each question effectively
• Help students find revision techniques that work for them
• Mark practice exam papers

There are certain core skills required at GCSE and A Level that students often find difficult to master. In tutoring we can hone these skills by putting them in different contexts. 

For English these might include: 

• Text comprehension
• Language and structural analysis
• Clear and concise written expression
• Strong essay structure 

For Spanish these might include: 

• Understanding grammar
• Coherent speaking
• Active listening 
• Accurate written expression
